My Review Policy

Dear fantasy and sci-fi authors! I'm ready to dive into your worlds, but fair warning: I'm a mood reader who savors every page. Here's how my review process works:

  • I read at my own pace, which can take a few days to a few weeks. No deadlines here, just pure bookish bliss! I believe every story deserves my full attention, without the pressure of a ticking clock.

  • Physical copies get priority, but I'm a true bookworm at heart and always happy to cozy up with an eBook too! I strive to strike a balance between the tactile joy of physical editions and the convenience of digital formats.

  • Every book I accept gets my full attention, and I'll share my reading journey on social media. Whether it's the satisfying feel of turning a page or the late-night glow of my Kindle, I'll immerse myself in your world.

  • Honesty is my policy, so if I can't finish a book, I'll reach out to you directly to explain why. Open communication is key, and I believe feedback, whether positive or constructive, can be valuable for every author.

  • I mix in personal reads to keep the spark alive, but your book could be my next great escape! I believe in the power of serendipitous discoveries alongside curated selections, so your work might just be the next one I reach for.

  • I'll do my best to respond within a week to let you know if I can accept your request. Thank you for your understanding

Afro Samurai meets The Sword of Kaigen in this anime-inspired novellaThis is no revenge story. I ain’t got time for that. So leave me alone. All I want to do is get home, drink some green tea lemonade, and enjoy my peace. I’m not asking for much, so why are all these demons daring to get in my way?I am not the one. Not today.Sistah Samurai is an Action Fantasy novella that is an homage to the anime, Afro Samurai. Both works feature a feudal Japan-inspired setting that is rife with anachronisms. In the words of Samuel L. Jackson, “Is that a motherf—ing RPG?”

A Holmes and Watson–style detective duo take the stage in this fantasy with a mystery twist, from the Edgar-winning, multiple Hugo-nominated Robert Jackson BennettIn Daretana’s greatest mansion, a high imperial officer lies dead—killed, to all appearances, when a tree erupted from his body. Even here at the Empire’s borders, where contagions abound and the blood of the leviathans works strange magical changes, it’s a death both terrifying and impossible.Assigned to investigate is Ana Dolabra, a detective whose reputation for brilliance is matched only by her eccentricities. Rumor has it that she wears a blindfold at all times, and that she can solve impossible cases without even stepping outside the walls of her home.At her side is her new assistant, Dinios Kol, magically altered in ways that make him the perfect aide to Ana’s brilliance. Din is at turns scandalized, perplexed, and utterly infuriated by his new superior—but as the case unfolds and he watches Ana’s mind leap from one startling deduction to the next, he must admit that she is, indeed, the Empire’s greatest detective. As the two close in on a mastermind and uncover a scheme that threatens the Empire itself, Din realizes he’s barely begun to assemble the puzzle that is Ana Dolabra—and wonders how long he’ll be able to keep his own secrets safe from her piercing intellect.By an “endlessly inventive” (Vulture) author with a “wicked sense of humor” (NPR), The Tainted Cup mixes the charms of detective fiction with brilliant world-building to deliver a fiendishly clever mystery that’s at once instantly recognizable and thrillingly new.
